What do we need from you?

If you have the necessary entry requirements, we are already looking forward to your application, which should then include the following documents:

Bachelor's programmes

  • Higher education entrance qualification (Allgemeine Hochschulreife or Fachhochschulreife)
  • Alternative: Equivalent foreign degree
  • Curriculum vitae with a current passport photo
  • Copy of your passport/ID

Master's programmes

  • Bachelor's degree incl. transcript
  • Curriculum vitae with a current passport photo
  • Copy of your passport/ID
  • Letter of motivation

Further requirements for some programmes (i.e. university degree in a specific area etc.) can be found on the respective study programme page.

If the language of instruction is not your native language, i.e. English or German, you also need to provide a language certificate (see FAQ below).

You have to register once for the online application process. This gives you the opportunity to add information and files later before you send us your documents.

6 STEPS TO YOUR DREAM STUDY

This is how your application works with us

  1. You submit your application via our online applicant portal. Register there once and upload all relevant documents (PDF, DOC, RTF, JPG, GIF and TIF). After receipt of your application, you will receive a confirmation of receipt by e-mail.
  2. We check your application documents. If you meet the admission requirements, we will invite you to a personal interview.
  3. In your personal admission interview, we will discuss your next possible start date. The admission interview takes place on site or by telephone/online.
  4. Once you have successfully completed your admission interview, you will receive your study contract from us.
  5. Send us back your signed study contract.
  6. Now your studies at SRH Campus Leipzig can begin.

In our selection process, we take the following criteria into account in equal measure: academic performance, practical experience and previous professional career, further education and training, and the personal admission interview.

Frequently asked questions

From application deadlines to missing diploma - here you will find all the answers to your questions.

You can submit your application without obligation at any time via our online portal. After reviewing your application documents and meeting the admission requirements, we will invite you to a personal interview.

If you are not an EU citizen or come from a country that requires a visa to study, we ask you to apply for your study programme as early as possible, as visa preparation and processing can take a lot of time.

When does my degree programme start?

  • Start of the summer semester: 1 April
  • Start of the winter semester: 1 October

If you do not have a diploma yet because you will be graduating from high school or your bachelor's degree in the near future, but would still like to apply, that is not a problem.

You can also apply without a diploma. Please upload your interim report or a current grade point average with your online application. You will then receive a provisional admission.

Please note that you must submit your diploma by the start of your studies in order to receive binding admission to the programme.

What are the language requirements for English-taught programmes?

Please note that no proof of German language skills is required for our English-taught study programmes.

Please submit one of the following language tests when you apply online:

  • TOEFL 87 ibt (direct entry)
  • TOEFL 79 - 86 ibt (with additional agreement)
  • TOEIC 785 (Listening/Reading 785, Speaking 160, Writing 150)
  • IELTS/IELTS Online (academic) 6.5 average - please see Language Centre guidelines if results differ
  • CAE (grade A, B, or C)
  • CPE (grade A, B or C)
  • Pearson English Test Academic (PTE-A) 59 points
  • Linguaskill: 176 - 184 (CES) - all four skills required
  • Duolingo: 110 points

We are currently also accepting the following tests:

  • TOEFL Special Home Edition: 87 ibt
  • IELTS Indicator: 6.5 overall

What are the language requirements for German-taught programmes?

If you are from a non-German speaking country or German is not your native language, we ask you to submit one of the following language proficiency tests with your online application:

  • DSH-Prüfung (level 2)
  • TestDaF (TDN 4 in all partial exams. If you get a 3 in one subtest, you can compensate it with a 5 in another subtest. You also need a total of at least 16 points)
  • Goethe-Zertifikat C1 or C2 or Telc C1 or C2 (minimum grade good/2)
  • Sprachdiplom (Stufe II) by the Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK), aka DSD II
  • Assessment test of a Studienkolleg, examination part Deutsch
  • telc C1 Hochschule

Summer semester: 1 April - 30 September

Winter semester: 1 October - 30 April
